West Midlands Ambulance Service Chief Executive, Anthony Marsh, has been named in this year’s New Year’s Honours List.
Mr Marsh who has been with the ambulance service for over 25 years, was announced as a recipient of the Queen’s Ambulance Service Medal (QAM).
It is the second year in row that the Trust has received such recognition. Last year, ‘Running Paramedic’ Ray Edensor from Staffordshire received the award.
Mr Marsh said: “I am very honoured to have received this award. Whilst I have been extremely fortunate to have been nominated, this is down to the hard work of everyone involved in the ambulance service.
“There is not a day goes by that I do not see or hear about the actions of staff that makes me immensely proud to be part of the ambulance service.”
