A man’s died after a crash on a country road

Thursday 31st March 2016 – 1.24pm – Murray MacGregor.

A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a tree.

The incident happened close to Homestead Farm in Hollington Road, Croxden near Uttoxeter.

An ambulance and a rapid response vehicle were sent after a 999 emergency call at about 9.45am on Thursday morning.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Sadly, on arrival it was immediately obvious that there was nothing that could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
